Crafted of hand-blown glass, the Aeration Decanter helps maximize a red wine's exposure to air, thereby encouraging the wine to breathe and release its aroma and flavor. Because of the decanter's signature base shape, it can either stand upright or rest tilted on its side. The tilted position increases the surface area of the wine and allows the decanter to be gently rocked to further aerate the wine. Large glass ridges further the effort by providing extra surface area. A crowning feature of the decanter is a hand-blown, solid glass stopper that doubles as an aerator. Deeply fluted, the stopper is intended to have the wine poured directly over it. The fluting directs the wine into the decanter while also increasing exposure to air.
